J&K Education Department Announces Summer Vacation for Schools

In an official announcement by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the Directorate of School Education has issued an order declaring summer vacations for all Government and recognized Private Schools situated in the summer zone of Jammu Division.

The vacation period is set to commence from June 1st, 2024, and will conclude on July 16th, 2024.

Additionally, the order specifies that during this vacation period, all teachers are required to be available for online guidance to students. Any deviation from this schedule by the Head of the School or teaching staff will result in disciplinary action as per the rules.

Signed by the Director of School Education, Jammu, the order aims to ensure a smooth and organized vacation period for both students and teachers.

Furthermore, copies of the order have been forwarded to various authorities including the Divisional Commissioner, District Development Commissioners of several districts, OSD to Advisor to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, and others for their information and necessary action.

The Joint Director of the Information Department, Jammu, has been requested to give wide publicity to this announcement through both print and electronic media channels. Similarly, the Station Directors of Doordarshan Kendra and Radio Kashmir, Jammu, have been instructed to ensure widespread dissemination of this information.

Moreover, Chief Education Officers of all districts within the Jammu Division have been informed for necessary action, along with other concerned officials at the Civil Secretariat and within the Directorate of School Education.

The order concludes with administrative instructions for internal circulation and publication on the official website, ensuring transparency and accessibility of the information to all stakeholders involved.

This declaration of summer vacation aims to facilitate a period of rest and rejuvenation for students and teachers alike, fostering a conducive learning environment upon their return.
